Let’s BEE part of the solution
I’m probably the most ‘exotic’ member of the Camida Team. Born and raised in Timișoara, Romania, I embraced life’s challenges early by going abroad for my PhD. I was part of a Marie Curie Initial Training Network called MagNETic Fun, and I earned my Doctoral Degree in Chemistry from two renowned institutions: the Institut Català d’Investigació Química in Tarragona, Spain, and the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Genoa, Italy.
My thesis focused on the functionalisation of magnetic nanoparticles, primarily for applications in organocatalysis. During my research, I developed several hybrid materials based on iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles and various polysaccharides, which have multiple potential applications.
After obtaining my degree, I sought new challenges and moved to Ireland, where I quickly fell in love with the country and all it has to offer. My husband and I have truly settled here, and we are delighted to see our family grow with the addition of our two sons, Daniel and Alex, and our little Irish princess, Rebecca.
I joined Camida over seven years ago as a Sourcing Specialist and quickly realised how different the industrial world is compared to the life of a PhD student. I was excited about my role, eager to learn, and soon developed a passion for the commercial side of the business. A few years ago, I was offered a Sales Role, for which I’m very grateful, and I was ready to embrace all the challenges that came with it.
Over the past few years, I’ve learned a great deal, grown significantly, and deeply appreciate all that Camida has offered me. Despite being a medium-sized company based in Clonmel, Ireland, Camida has a global presence, with offices in the UK and a footprint in the USA and Singapore. My role is to act as the bridge between our customers and the right supply solutions for their needs. Although based in Ireland, I work with customers worldwide, helping them navigate the challenges of today’s market.
I’m incredibly proud and privileged to be part of the Camida family and look forward to growing together with them in the future. I’m ready to take on new challenges!
